Summary

Product Identification

The VONTRON HOR2012-50 is an oxidation-resistant reverse osmosis (RO) membrane element from the HOR Series. It is designed for treating water resources containing oxidant substances and high microbial contaminations, operating under extra low pressure.

Application

  • Residential water purifiers
  • Hospital and laboratory water purification devices
  • Treatment of centralized water supply, underground water, and other water sources

Product Performance

  • Model: HOR2012-50
  • Permeate Flow: 50 GPD (0.19 m³/d) (±15% variation possible)
  • Rejection Rate: 98% (±2% variation possible)
  • Min. Rejection: 96%

Testing Conditions:

  • Testing Pressure: 60 psi (0.41 MPa)
  • Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
  • Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
  • pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
  • Recovery of Single Element: 15 %

Important Information

  • Preservation:
    • Dry membrane elements leave the factory without preservation solution.
    • Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite as a preservation solution. In winter, 10% propylene glycol antifreeze is added. They are vacuum packaged.
  • Storage:
    • Dry membrane elements must be maintained wet after initial soaking.
    • Wet membrane elements require preservation solution if not used for a long time.
  • Initial Flush:
    • Flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (do not soak overnight).
    • Follow with a 60-90 minute flush at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
  • Initial Operation: The permeate and concentrated water produced during the first hour of operation must be discharged.
  • Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines provided are integral to the limitations of the three-year membrane element warranty.
  • Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that could affect the membrane during storage or operation is prohibited.

Mechanical / Hydraulic

The following dimensions are provided:

  • A: 298 mm
  • B: 48 mm
  • C: 17 mm
  • D1: 21 mm
  • D2: 21 mm
