Summary
Product identification
The HP1812-80 is a Helixfil Series Reverse Osmosis Membrane Element developed by Vontron.
Application
This RO element is designed for treating low-salinity water resources such as tap water, well water, centralized water supply, and underground water. It operates under extra low pressure and is suitable for:
- Residential water purifiers
- Hospital and laboratory water purification devices
Product performance
Performance is tested under specific conditions:
- Testing Pressure: 60 psi (0.41 MPa)
- Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
- Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
- pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
- Recovery of Single Element: 60 %
Under these test conditions, the HP1812-80 membrane element provides:
- Permeate Flow: 80 GPD (0.3 m³/d)
- Rejection Rate: 99%
- Min. Rejection: 98%
Note:
- Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow.
- Rejection Rate may vary by ±2%.
Mechanical / hydraulic
The physical dimensions of the element are:
- A: 298 mm
- B: 46 mm
- C: 17 mm
- D1: 15 mm
- D2: 20 mm
Important information
- Preservation:
- Dry membrane elements have no preservation solution from the factory but must always be maintained wet after soaking.
- Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) as a preservation solution and are vacuum packaged.
- If wet membrane elements are not used for a long time, they require preservation solution soaking.
- Initial Use:
- Flush the membrane for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (not suitable for soaking overnight).
- Subsequently, flush for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow must not be less than 50% of the system design flow).
- Permeate water and concentrated water produced during the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
- Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
- Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines provided are part of the limitations for the three-year warranty.
- Further details: For comprehensive information on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation, refer to the Product Manual.
