Important Information
- Preservation:
- Dry membrane elements leave the factory without preservation solution. They must be maintained wet after soaking.
- Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite as preservation solution. In winter, 10% propylene glycol antifreeze is added. They are vacuum packaged.
- When wet membrane elements are not used for a long time, preservation solution is needed to soak them.
- Initial Use:
- It is recommended to flush the membrane for 15-25 minutes at low pressure, followed by 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of the system design water flow). Soaking overnight is not suitable during this initial flush.
- Permeate water and concentrated water produced within the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
- Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
- Warranty: The operating limits and operational guidelines specified herein are part of the limitations of the three-year warranty on the membrane element.
