Summary
Product identification
LP100 Low Pressure RO Membrane Elements (LP Series) are designed for brackish water desalination. They feature low operating pressure, high permeate flow, and high rejection rates for soluble salt, TOC, and SiO₂.
Typical applications include:
- Drinking water production: packaged water, direct drinking water, food processing water.
- Purified water production: pharmaceutical water, medical water, electronics water.

Important information on storage and operation
- Preservation: Dry membrane elements are shipped without preservation solution but must be kept wet after initial soaking. Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze in winter) as a preservation solution and are vacuum-packaged.
- Long-term storage (wet elements): Preservation solution is required if elements are not used for extended periods.
- Initial Operation:
- Flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (do not soak overnight).
- Subsequently flush for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
- The permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
- Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines provided are part of the limitations for the three-year membrane element warranty.
- Chemical Use: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage or operation is prohibited. Vontron Technology disclaims liability for consequences arising from the use of such chemicals.
- Documentation: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed information on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation.
