Important Information

• Preservation:
  • Dry membrane elements leave the factory without preservation solution and must be kept wet after initial soaking.
  • Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze in winter) as a preservation solution for storage.
  • When wet membrane elements are not used for a long time, preservation solution is required.
• Initial Startup Flush:
  • Recommended initial flush at low pressure for 15-25 minutes (avoid soaking overnight).
  • Followed by a high-pressure flush for 60-90 minutes (water flow ≥ 50% of system design flow).
• Initial Operation Discharge: The permeate water and concentrated water from the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
• Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines presented in this document are part of the limitations for the three-year membrane element warranty.
• Prohibited Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited. Vontron Technology will not be liable for consequences arising from the use of such chemicals.
