Summary

Product identification

PURO-II Strengthened RO Membrane Elements - Helixfil Series

Application

PURO-Ⅱ membrane elements are designed for higher endurance to chemical cleaning and improved fouling resistance due to a brand-new feed channel spacer design with low pressure differentials.

Typical applications include:

  • Pure water production from surface water (e.g., lake water, river water).
  • Desalination of reclaimed water (e.g., industrial wastewater, RO concentrated water).

Important Operational Notes

  • Preservation:
    • Dry membrane elements leave the factory without preservation solution.
    • Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze in winter) as a preservation solution, and are vacuum-packaged.
    • Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after initial soaking.
    • Wet membrane elements not in use for a long time require soaking in preservation solution.
  • Initial Startup:
    • It is recommended to flush the membrane elements first for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (avoid soaking overnight).
    • Follow with a flush for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
    • Permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of operation must be discharged.
  • Warranty: The stated operating limits and guidelines are part of the limitations for the three-year membrane element warranty.
  • Chemical Use: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited. Vontron Technology disclaims liability for consequences from such chemical use.
  • Further Details: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed instructions on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation.
