Summary

Product Identification

  • Model: ULP1812-50
  • Series: Ultra Low Pressure Membrane Elements - ULP Series

Application

The ULP1812-50 RO element is designed for the treatment of low-salinity water resources such as tap water and well water. It operates under extra-low pressure and is applicable to:

  • Residential water purifiers.
  • Hospital and laboratory water purification devices.
  • Treatment of centralized water supply and underground water.

Product Performance

  • Model: ULP1812-50
  • Permeate Flow: 50 GPD (0.19 m³/d)
  • Rejection Rate: 99%
  • Min. Rejection: 97%

Note: Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow. Rejection Rate may vary by ±2%.

Testing Conditions

  • Testing Pressure: 60 psi (0.41 MPa)
  • Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
  • Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
  • pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
  • Recovery of Single Element: 15 %

Mechanical / Hydraulic

The following dimensions are provided in millimeters (mm):

  • A: 298
  • B: 46
  • C: 17
  • D1: 21
  • D2: 21

Operation and Storage Guidelines

  • Preservation: Dry membrane elements have no preservation solution upon leaving the factory. Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze in winter) as a preservation solution for storage and are vacuum packaged.
  • Storage: Dry membrane elements must be maintained wet after soaking. When wet membrane elements are not used for a long time, preservation solution is needed to soak them.
  • First Use Flushing: It is recommended to flush the membrane element first for 15-25 minutes at low pressure, then for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow should not be less than 50% of the system design water flow). Soaking overnight is not suitable during this initial flush.
  • Initial Operation Discharge: The permeate water and concentrated water produced during the first hour of initial operation must all be discharged.
  • Warranty: The operating limits and operational guidelines provided are part of the limitations of the three-year warranty on the membrane element.
  • Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited. Vontron Technology will not be liable for any consequences arising from the use of such chemicals.
  • Documentation: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed information on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation of membrane elements.
