The ULP2012-100 is an Ultra Low Pressure (ULP Series) reverse osmosis membrane element.

Applications

This Vontron RO element is designed for treating low-salinity water sources, including:

  • Note: Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow.

• Testing Pressure: 60 psi (0.41 MPa)
• Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
• Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
• pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
• Recovery of Single Element: 15%

Operating limits

Preservation and First Use

• Preservation Solution:
  • Dry membrane elements: No preservation solution upon leaving the factory. Must be maintained wet after soaking.
  • Wet membrane elements: 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) for storage, vacuum packaged. Preservation solution is needed if elements are not used for a long time.
• Initial Flushing (First Use):
  • Flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (not suitable for soaking or soaking overnight).
  • Then flush for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (the water flow should not be less than 50% of the system design water flow).
  • The permeate and concentrated water produced during the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
• Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
