Summary

Product identification

The ULP2012-125 is an Ultra Low Pressure (ULP Series) reverse osmosis (RO) membrane element, independently developed by VONTRON.

Application

The ULP2012-125 is designed for the treatment of low-salinity water resources such as tap water and well water, operating under extra low pressure. It is applicable to:

  • Residential water purifiers
  • Hospital and laboratory water purification devices
  • Treatment of centralized water supply
  • Underground water and other water sources

Product water

Product performance is based on the following testing conditions:

  • Testing Pressure: 60 psi (0.41 MPa)
  • Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
  • Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
  • pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
  • Recovery of Single Element: 15 %

Under these conditions, the product yields:

  • Permeate Flow: 125 GPD (0.48 m³/d) (Each membrane element may have ±15% variation)
  • Rejection Rate: 99% (Rejection Rate ±2%)
  • Min. Rejection: 97%

Mechanical / hydraulic

The element dimensions are:

  • A: 298 mm
  • B: 48 mm
  • C: 17 mm
  • D1: 21 mm
  • D2: 21 mm

Important information

  • Preservation: Dry membrane elements do not contain preservation solution. Wet membrane elements use 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) and are vacuum packaged.
  • Storage: Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after soaking. Wet membrane elements, if not used for a long time, require preservation solution.
  • Initial Flushing:
    • First, flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (do not soak or soak overnight).
    • Then, flush for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow should not be less than 50% of the system design water flow).
    • Permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
  • Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines in the technical information are part of the limitations of the three-year membrane element warranty.
  • Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited. VONTRON Technology is not liable for consequences arising from the use of such chemicals.
  • For detailed information on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation, refer to the Product Manual.
