Summary

Product identification

The ULP2812-300 is an Ultra Low Pressure Membrane Element from the ULP Series, independently developed by VONTRON.

Application

This RO element is designed for the treatment of low-salinity water resources, including tap water and well water. It is suitable for water purifying devices in:

  • Residential settings
  • Hospitals
  • Laboratories
  • Centralized water supply systems
  • Underground water sources

Product Performance

This element operates under extra-low pressure conditions.

Testing Conditions:

  • Testing Pressure: 100 psi (0.69 MPa)
  • Temperature of Testing Solution: 25 ℃
  • Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
  • pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
  • Recovery of Single Element: 15 %

Performance Data (ULP2812-300):

  • Permeate Flow: 300 GPD (1.13 m³/d)
  • Rejection Rate: 98.5 %
  • Min. Rejection: 96.5 %

Note: Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow, and the Rejection Rate may vary by ±2%.

Mechanical / hydraulic

Dimensions of the membrane element:

  • A: 298 mm
  • B: 68 mm
  • C: 17 mm
  • D1: 21 mm
  • D2: 21 mm

Important Information

  • Preservation: Dry membrane elements do not contain preservation solution. Wet membrane elements use 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) for storage, and are vacuum packaged.
  • Storage: Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after initial soaking. Wet membrane elements not in use for extended periods require preservation solution.
  • Initial Flushing: When first used, flush the element for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (avoid overnight soaking), then for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow should be at least 50% of the system design flow).
  • Initial Discharge: The permeate water and concentrated water produced during the first hour of operation must be discharged.
  • Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines provided are part of the limitations for the three-year membrane element warranty.
  • Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that could affect the membrane element during storage or operation is prohibited.
  • Further Details: For comprehensive instructions on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation, refer to the Product Manual.
