Summary
Product identification
The ULP3012-600 is an Ultra Low Pressure (ULP) spiral-wound Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane element developed by VONTRON.
Application
This element is designed for the treatment of low-salinity water resources, including:
- Tap water
- Well water
- Centralized water supply
- Underground water It is applicable to water purifying devices for residential use, hospitals, and laboratories.
Product Performance
| Model | Permeate Flow GPD (m³/d) | Rejection Rate (%) | Min. Rejection (%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| ULP3012-600 | 600 (2.27) | 98 | 96 |
Testing Conditions:
- Testing Pressure: 100 psi (0.69 MPa)
- Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
- Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
- pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
- Recovery of Single Element: 50 %
Performance Variations:
- Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow.
- Rejection Rate may vary by ±2%.
Mechanical / Hydraulic
Product dimensions are as follows:
- A: 298 mm
- B: 73 mm
- C: 17 mm
- D1: 15 mm
- D2: 22 mm
Important Information
- Preservation:
- Dry membrane elements leave the factory without preservation solution.
- Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (NaHSO₃) as preservation solution (in winter, 10% propylene glycol antifreeze is added). They are vacuum-packaged.
- Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after initial soaking.
- Wet membrane elements not used for extended periods require preservation solution.
- Initial Operation:
- Recommended flushing: 15-25 minutes at low pressure (do not soak overnight), followed by 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
- The permeate water and concentrated water produced during the first hour of operation must be discharged.
- Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines provided are part of the limitations for the three-year membrane element warranty.
- Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may adversely affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
- Documentation: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed instructions on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation of membrane elements.
