Summary

Product identification

The Vontron ULP3013-400 is an Ultra Low Pressure (ULP) spiral-wound reverse osmosis (RO) membrane element. It is designed for treating low-salinity water resources such as tap water and well water, and is suitable for:

  • Residential water purifiers
  • Hospital and laboratory water purification devices
  • Centralized water supply treatment
  • Underground water treatment

Product Performance

Performance is tested under specific conditions:

  • Testing Pressure: 100 psi (0.69 MPa)
  • Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
  • Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
  • pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
  • Recovery of Single Element: 40 %

Under these conditions, the ULP3013-400 exhibits:

  • Permeate Flow: 400 GPD (1.51 m³/d)
  • Rejection Rate: 98.5%
  • Min. Rejection: 97.5%

Note: Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow and ±2% variation in Rejection Rate.

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • A: 333 mm
  • B: 67.8 mm
  • C: 17 mm
  • D1: 15 mm
  • D2: 20 mm

Important Information

  • Preservation: Dry membrane elements have no preservation solution upon leaving the factory. Wet membrane elements use 1.0% sodium bisulfite as a preservation solution (in winter, 10% propylene glycol antifreeze is added), and are vacuum-packaged.
  • Storage: Dry elements must be kept wet after soaking. Wet elements not used for long periods require soaking in preservation solution.
  • Initial Flushing:
    • First, flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (do not soak overnight).
    • Then, flush for 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
    • Permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
  • Chemical Use: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
  • Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines in this technical information are part of the limitations of the three-year membrane element warranty.
  • Documentation: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation instructions.
