Summary

Product identification

The ULP3013-500 is an Ultra Low Pressure (ULP Series) reverse osmosis (RO) membrane element, independently developed by VONTRON.

Application

This RO element is designed for treating low-salinity water resources, including:

  • Tap water
  • Well water
  • Centralized water supply
  • Underground water

It is applicable to water purifying devices for:

  • Residence
  • Hospital
  • Laboratory

Product performance

  • Model: ULP3013-500
  • Permeate Flow: 500 GPD (1.89 m³/d)
  • Rejection Rate: 98%
  • Min. Rejection: 96%

Testing Conditions:

  • Testing Pressure: 100 psi (0.69 MPa)
  • Temperature of Testing Solution: 25℃
  • Concentration of Testing Solution (NaCl): 250 ppm
  • pH of Testing Solution: 6.5~8.5
  • Recovery of Single Element: 50 %

Note: Each membrane element may have ±15% variation of permeate flow and ±2% rejection rate.

Important Information

  • Preservation: Dry membrane elements leave the factory without preservation solution. Wet membrane elements use 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) as a preservation solution and are vacuum-packaged.
  • Storage: Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after initial soaking. If wet membrane elements are not used for a long time, they require a preservation solution soak.
  • Initial Flush: For first-time use, flush at low pressure for 15-25 minutes, then at high pressure for 60-90 minutes (water flow should be at least 50% of system design flow).
  • Discharge: The permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of operation must be discharged.
  • Warranty: Operating limits and guidelines in this document are part of the three-year warranty limitations.
  • Chemicals: Do not add chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage or operation. Vontron Technology disclaims liability for consequences from such chemical use.
  • Manual: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation information.
