VNF2 2540

Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for VNF2 2540. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.

Summary

Product identification

The VNF2-2540 is a Water Treatment Nanofiltration Membrane Element from the VNF Series.

It is primarily used for the purification of drinking water, industrial water, and the treatment of wastewater. Specific applications include deep purification of drinking water such as direct drinking water, packaging water, and food-grade water.

Product Performance

The product performance is tested under the following conditions: operating pressure 100 psi (0.69 MPa), 2000 mg/L MgSO₄ solution, temperature at 25℃, pH 7.0 ± 0.5, and recovery rate at 15%.

  • Model: VNF2-2540
  • Stable Rejection Rate: 97.0%
  • Permeate Flow: 750 GPD (2.8 m³/d)
  • Active Membrane Area: 28 ft² (2.6 m²)
  • Feed Spacer Thickness: 28 mil

Each membrane element may have ±20% variation of permeate flow.

Operating limits

  • Maximum operating pressure: 600 psi (4.14 MPa)
  • Maximum feedwater temperature: 45 ℃
  • Maximum inlet flow rate: 1.4 m³/h
  • Maximum concentration of free chlorine: 0.1 mg/L
  • Maximum pressure drop per element: 15 psi (0.1 MPa)
  • Allowed pH range for feedwater in operation: 3-10
  • Allowed pH range for chemical cleaning: 2-12
  • Maximum feedwater flow SDI₁₅: 5

Storage and Initial Use Information

  • Dry membrane elements are shipped without preservation solution. Wet membrane elements use 1.0% sodium bisulfite as a preservation solution (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) and are vacuum packaged.
  • Dry membrane elements, once soaked, must always be kept wet. If wet membrane elements are not used for a long time, a preservation solution is needed for storage.
  • For initial use, it is recommended to flush the element for 15-25 minutes at low pressure, followed by 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of the system design). Soaking overnight is not suitable.
  • The permeate water and concentrated water produced during the first hour of initial operation should be discharged.
  • The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.

Dimensions and Packaging

  • Packing carton (L:W:H): 1059×90×100 mm
  • Connector material number: 3.02.09.0003
