Summary
Product identification
VNF2-4040 Water Treatment Nanofiltration Membrane Elements - VNF Series
Application
Water treatment nanofiltration membrane elements are primarily used for the purification of drinking water and industrial water, and for wastewater treatment. Specific applications include deep purification of drinking water such as direct drinking water, packaging water, and food water.
Product performance
Performance is based on testing with 2000 mg/L MgSO₄ solution at 100 psi (0.69 MPa), 25℃, pH 7.0 ± 0.5, and a recovery rate of 15%. Note that each membrane element may have ±20% variation of permeate flow.

Important information
- Preservation: Dry membrane elements are shipped without preservation solution. Wet membrane elements include 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) as preservation solution, and are vacuum packaged. Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after initial soaking. For long-term storage, wet membrane elements require preservation solution.
- Initial Operation:
- Recommended to flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (do not soak or soak overnight).
- Follow with 60-90 minutes of flushing at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
- Permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
- Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
- Warranty: Operating limits and guidelines in this document are part of the limitations of the three-year warranty.
- Documentation: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed instructions on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation.
