Important Information

  • Preservation:
    • Dry membrane elements are shipped without preservation solution and vacuum packaged. They must be kept wet after soaking.
    • Wet membrane elements are shipped with 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze added in winter) as a preservation solution and are vacuum packaged. If not used for a long time, elements require soaking in preservation solution.
  • Initial Operation:
    • Recommended to flush for 15-25 minutes at low pressure (not suitable for soaking or soaking overnight).
    • Follow with a 60-90 minute flush at high pressure (water flow should not be less than 50% of the system design flow).
    • Permeate and concentrated water produced during the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
  • Warranty: The operating limits and guidelines provided are part of the limitations of the three-year warranty on the membrane element.
  • Chemicals: The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
  • Documentation: Refer to the Product Manual for detailed instructions on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation.
