Summary

Product identification

The ZERO-FR10 element is part of the ZERO series, specifically designed for Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes. It features advanced fouling resistant technology and is optimized for high TDS and high COD wastewater reclaiming.

  • Application:
    • Reuse of High Salt and High COD Wastewater.
    • Primary Concentration and Reduction Stage of Zero Liquid Discharge Technology.
    • Suitable for feed water with TDS 5-15 g/L (5000-15000 ppm).
  • Key features: Low pressure drop, long cleaning cycle, high chemical cleaning resistance.

Product Performance

ZERO-FR10

  • Stable Rejection Rate: 99.7%
  • Permeate Flow: 11500 GPD (43.5 m³/d)
  • Active Membrane Area: 400 ft² (37.2 m²)
  • Feed Spacer Thickness: 34 mil
  • Minimum Rejection Rate: 99.4%

Test Conditions:

Performance is based on the following conditions:

  • Operating pressure: 225 psi (1.55 MPa)
  • NaCl solution concentration: 2000 mg/L
  • Temperature: 25 ℃
  • pH: 7.0 ± 0.5
  • Recovery rate: 15%

Note: Each membrane element may have ±20% variation of permeate flow.

Operating limits

  • Maximum operating pressure: 600 psi (4.14 MPa)
  • Maximum feedwater temperature: 45 ℃
  • Maximum inlet flow rate: 17 m³/h
  • Maximum concentration of free chlorine: 0.1 mg/L
  • Maximum pressure drop per element: 15 psi (0.1 MPa)
  • Allowed pH range for feedwater in operation: 2-11
  • Allowed pH range for chemical cleaning: 1-13
  • Maximum feedwater flow SDI₁₅: 5

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Packing carton (L:W:H): 1080×216×232 mm
  • Connector material number: 3.02.09.0006

General Information

  • Dry membrane elements are shipped without preservation solution. Wet membrane elements contain 1.0% sodium bisulfite (with 10% propylene glycol antifreeze in winter) for preservation.
  • Dry membrane elements must be kept wet after initial soaking. Wet membrane elements not in use for extended periods require preservation solution.
  • Initial flushing procedure: 15-25 minutes at low pressure, followed by 60-90 minutes at high pressure (water flow not less than 50% of system design flow).
  • The permeate and concentrated water from the first hour of initial operation must be discharged.
  • Operating limits and guidelines are part of the three-year warranty limitations.
  • The addition of any chemicals that may affect the membrane element during storage and operation is prohibited.
  • Refer to the Product Manual for detailed instructions on installation, commissioning, storage, and transportation.
