Summary

Product Identification

The Pall Profile® II depth filters and Pall Ultipleat® Profile® pleated filters are available in a user-friendly SI configuration.

  • SI Configuration Features:

    • Solid polypropylene endcap with a 302 series stainless steel spring on one end.
    • Polypropylene endcap holding a replaceable polyethylene gasket on the open end.
    • Integral closed endcap/spring assembly eliminates the need for separate springs and cups, simplifying filter changeout.
    • Minimizes risk of fluid bypass due to permanent sealing at one end.
  • Profile II Depth Filters:

    • Construction: All polypropylene.
    • Diameter: 2½ inches.
    • Media: Absolute rated downstream section, continuously profiled pore size upstream section.
    • Material: Chemically resistant polypropylene, no binder resin used, fibers bound by intertwining (no media migration).
  • Ultipleat Profile Filters:

    • Construction: Pleated polypropylene cartridges.
    • Diameter: 2½ inches.
    • Media: Absolute rated, proprietary method of continuously varying fiber diameter creating a tapered pore filter medium.
    • Design: Proprietary crescent-shaped pleat structure.
    • Benefits: Pressure drop as low as half that of higher area pleated filters, and as low as one-fifteenth that of conventional depth filters. Optimized for gel removal and sharp, distinct particle removal.

These elements are suitable for a broad range of applications in chemical, petrochemical, photochemical, pharmaceutical, biological, electronic, magnetic tape, electroplating, food and beverage, cosmetic, veterinary, medical, and fermentation industries, serving as both prefilters and final filters.

Operating Limits

Recommended Maximum Pressure Differential:

  • 60 psi up to 86°F (30°C)
  • 50 psi up to 122°F (50°C)
  • 30 psi up to 158°F (70°C)
  • 15 psi up to 180°F (82°C)
