PallCell elements with polypropylene hardware are rated to withstand differential pressures:
- 5.5 bar d (80 psid) up to 50 °C (122 °F)
- 3.1 bar d (45 psid) up to 82 °C (180 °F)
Product water
Nominal Filtration Rating: An arbitrary micrometer value indicated by filter manufacturers, based on the removal of some percentage of particles of a given size or larger. Pall ratings reflect a 98% removal by weight.
Absolute Filtration Rating: The diameter of the largest hard spherical particle that will pass through a filter under specified test conditions, indicating the largest opening in the filter element.

Mechanical / hydraulic
PallCell filter cartridges are available in two styles:
UNICAP style cartridges:
- O.D.: 63.5 mm (2.5 in)
- Type: Double open-ended
- Lengths: 254 mm (10 in), 508 mm (20 in), 762 mm (30 in), or 1016 mm (40 in)
- Installation: Can be installed in standard industrial style housings designed for double open-ended cartridges.
Sanitary (AB) style cartridges:
- O.D.: 69.9 mm (2.75 in)
- Type: Single open-ended elements with an O-ring piston seal at the open end.
- Lengths: 254 mm (10 in), 508 mm (20 in), 762 mm (30 in), or 1016 mm (40 in)
Housing Information: Housings are available in polypropylene, carbon steel, or stainless steel and can accommodate 1–152 254 mm (10 in) modules per housing.
