Summary
Product identification
Pall Nexis® T Series Filter Cartridges feature proprietary CoLD Melt™ fiber technology, providing a continuous gradient pore structure for both prefiltration and final filtration. They include a proprietary center core for enhanced mechanical strength and chemical resistance (0.5 - 10 µm) and are designed to resist contaminant unloading even at high differential pressures. The manufacturing process is computer-controlled for product consistency.
Key characteristics:
- Media: Polypropylene
- Construction: Thermally bonded structure, no adhesives employed
- End Configurations: Plastic and metal spring assembly options are available
Operating limits
- Filter grades: 0.5, 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100, 120, 150, 200 µm
- Retention rating: >90% by ASTM F-795 test, based on Pall’s Dynamic Efficiency test protocol.
- Maximum differential pressure:
- 0.5-10 µm:
- 1.03 bard @ 82°C (15 psid @ 180°F)
- 1.72 bard @ 66°C (25 psid @ 150°F)
- 4.14 bard @ 30°C (60 psid @ 86°F)
- 15-120 µm:
- 1.72 bard @ 60°C (25 psid @ 140°F)
- 3.45 bard @ ambient (50 psid @ ambient)
- 0.5-10 µm:
- Recommended change-out differential pressure: 2.4 bard (35 psid), provided maximum differential pressure is not exceeded.
- Rinse-up: To 18 Megohm-cm with a minimum of throughput.
- Autoclaving: Single-open-end Nexis T series filter cartridges can be autoclaved for 30 minutes at 121°C (250˚F) under no end load conditions. Cartridges should cool to normal system operating temperatures prior to use.
- Steam sterilization: Not recommended.

- End configurations: Various end configurations are available, including Double Open End (DOE) and Single Open End (SOE) types with different O-ring and cap styles. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values and codes.
- Typical Flow vs. Differential Pressure: Graphs illustrating typical flow versus differential pressure for various filter grades (0.5 µm to 200 µm) are provided in the source document, based on water at 20°C (68°F) for a 25.4 cm (10 in) cartridge. For liquids other than water, multiply differential pressure by fluid viscosity (cP).
