Summary

Product Identification

The PDF Series Filter Cartridges are designed for safer filtration of hazardous fluids. They are disposable filter cartridge/plastic housing elements available with a wide variety of depth or pleated media filter cartridges.

Unique Design Features

  • Disposable filter cartridge/plastic housing element
  • Virtually eliminates operator contact with fluid during changeover
  • A wide variety of depth or pleated media filter cartridges available
  • Available in retention ratings from 0.2 to 100 microns (µm)
  • Economical alternative to expensive competitive capsules
  • ¹/₄", ¹/₂", ³/₄" or 1" NPT inlet and outlet connections available for use in most piping plans
  • ¹/₄" vent allows the housing assembly to be easily vented or drained

Operating Limits

  • Maximum Operating Pressure (Liquid only): 75 psig (5.2 bar) @ 125˚F (52˚C)
  • Maximum Operating Pressure (Gas only): 40 psig (2.8 bar) @ 100˚F (38˚C)
    • CAUTION: Gas applications are inherently more hazardous than liquid service, and strict adherence to the maximum recommended pressure/temperature is required.

  • Cartridge Lengths: 4 inches, 10 inches, 20 inches, 30 inches
  • Port Sizes: ¹/₄", ¹/₂", ³/₄" See the official PDF for exact tabulated dimensions (A and B) for each model and port size combination.

Flow Rate Information: The document includes graphs illustrating housing differential pressure versus liquid flow rate (water at 68°F / 20°C) and housing differential pressure versus gas flow rate (air at 68°F / 20°C) for various port sizes (¹/₄", ¹/₂", ³/₄"). See the official PDF for specific flow curves.

Part Numbers/Ordering Information

Example: PDF N – PFT I – 10U (e.g. PDF.75PFT0.45–10U)

Inlet/Outlet Port Sizes (Code 'N'):

  • .25: ¹/₄" NPT
  • .50: ¹/₂" NPT
  • .75: ³/₄" NPT
  • 1: 1" NPT
