Notes on Performance:
- Performance capacity depends on system design, flow rate, and certain other application conditions.
- Micron ratings are based on 85% or greater removal of a given particle size.
- Estimated capacity for chlorine reduction uses 2 ppm free available chlorine at 0.5 ppm breakthrough.
- Cartridges are capable of reducing 99.95% of Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts.
- Cartridges may contain a very small amount of carbon fines (very fine black powder). After installation, follow the instructions for flushing the cartridge to remove the fines before using the water.
Certifications
- The CBC-10, CBC-20, CBC-BB, and CBC-20BB models are Tested and Certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only.
Warnings
- Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
