Summary
Product identification
Pentair Multi-Round Bag Housings are designed to effectively remove dirt, pipe scale, and other substances from process liquids. They are intended to ensure clean effluent and protect downstream equipment. Unfiltered liquid enters the housing above the filter bags or strainer baskets, fills the interior, and passes through the bag or basket, trapping solids inside.
Operating limits
- Pressure Rating:
- 150 psi @ 300˚F (10.3 bar @ 148.9˚C)
- Up to 300 psi (20.7 bar) optional
- Flow Rates: Up to 3,500 gpm (13,247.5 Lpm)
- Basket Quantity: 2 basket to 24 basket housing designs available.
Applications
- Chemical
- General Industrial
- Oil and Gas

Dimensions and Weight
Detailed approximate dimensions (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) and weights in both imperial (IN, LBS) and metric (MM, KG) units are provided for each housing model (LR2 to LR24) across various connection sizes. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
Pressure Drop vs. Flow Rate
A chart illustrates the typical differential pressure (psi/Bar) versus flow rate (gpm/Lpm) for different connection sizes (2" to 12"). Pressure drop increases with flow rate and is generally lower for larger connection sizes at the same flow rate. See the official PDF for exact charted values.
Ordering Information
Part numbers can be configured using the following scheme (example: LR2302FAC15):
- HOUSING: LR2, LR3, LR4, LR6, LR8, LR12, LR17, LR24
- BASKET (IN.): 30 (#2 bag)
- CONNECTION (IN.): Refer to Dimension Charts
- CONNECTION TYPE: F (Flange)
- OUTLET LOCATION: A (Bottom)
- MATERIAL: C (Carbon Steel), 4 (304 SS), 4L (304L SS), 6 (316 SS), 6L (316L SS)
- Note: Carbon steel is not recommended for water use as the epoxy coating is not designed as a corrosion inhibitor.
- PSI: 15 (150 psi), 30 (300 psi)
- ASME CODE: U (U Stamp), Blank (No Stamp)
