CC Series Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge

Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for CC Series Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.

Summary

Product identification

The CC Series Coconut Shell Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge is designed for reducing bad taste and odor, chlorine taste and odor, and certain Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from potable drinking water. The CC-10 model specifically reduces MTBE. These cartridges contain coconut shell-based activated carbon for improved taste and VOC reduction compared to standard GAC cartridges.

Key features:

  • Effective bad taste & odor and chlorine taste & odor reduction*
  • Greater VOC reduction than standard GAC cartridges*
  • Post-filter to reduce carbon fines
  • Available in a variety of sizes and flow rates

Mechanical / hydraulic

The cartridge design ensures water passes through the entire length of the carbon bed, with an internal expansion pad to minimize channeling or bypass. A 20-micron post-filter is incorporated to reduce carbon fines.

Important Notes & Warnings

  • For drinking water applications, do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
  • A drinking water cartridge may contain carbon fines (very fine black powder). After installation and before using the water, follow flushing instructions to remove fines.
  • It is recommended to run the tap for 20 seconds prior to using the water for drinking or cooking purposes.
