CFB-PB10 Lead Reduction Molded Block Cartridge

Engineering summary from PDF text extraction for CFB-PB10 Lead Reduction Molded Block Cartridge. Verify every value with the OEM datasheet.

Summary

Product Identification

The CFB-PB10 is a Lead Reduction Modified Molded Block Cartridge, featuring proprietary Fibredyne™ technology. This technology integrates powdered activated carbon and lead adsorbent material onto a cellulose-free synthetic fiber matrix. The cartridge is designed to resist plugging, offer long life, and provide a low pressure drop.

It is manufactured entirely from FDA-compliant materials and is suitable for residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications.

Operating Limits

  • Temperature Rating: 40°F-180°F (4.4°C-82.2°C)

Mechanical / Hydraulic

  • Model: CFB-PB10
  • Maximum Dimensions: 2⅞" x 9¾" (73mm x 248mm)
  • Initial Pressure Drop (ΔP): 8.1 psi @ 1 gpm (0.6 bar @ 3.8 Lpm)

Product Water

The CFB-PB10 cartridge provides:

  • Nominal Micron Rating: 0.5-micron
  • Cyst Reduction: 99.95% reduction of Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts (tested using NSF Standard 53 protocol)
  • Lead Reduction: Effective through 2000 gallons
  • Chlorine Taste & Odor Reduction: >5,000 gallons @ 1 gpm (>18,900 L @ 3.8 Lpm)
  • Other Reductions: High chlorine taste & odor and bad taste and odor reduction
  • Capacity: Premium dirt-holding capacity

Note: All performance claims are based on manufacturer's internal testing. Micron ratings are based on 85% or greater removal of given particle size. Estimated capacity uses 2 ppm free available chlorine at 0.5 ppm breakthrough. Tested and Certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only.

Materials of Construction

  • Filter Media: Bonded PAC
  • End Caps: Polypropylene
  • Netting: Polyethylene
  • Gaskets: Santoprene™

WARNING: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit. NOTE: Performance capacity depends on system design, flow rate, and certain other application conditions. Certain states require system registration or certification for health-related contaminant reduction claims. NOTE: Cartridges will contain a very small amount of carbon fines (very fine black powder). After installation, a new cartridge should be flushed with sufficient water to remove all traces of fines prior to using the water.
