Important Notes
- Proper start-up of a UF system is essential to prepare membranes for operating service and prevent damage. Refer to the product technical manual.
- Avoid abrupt pressure variations during start-up, shutdown, cleaning, or other sequences.
- Flush the UF system to remove shipping solution and residual air prior to start-up.
- Target a permeate flow of 60% of design during initial operations. Permeate obtained from initial operations should be discarded depending on the application.
- Failure to strictly follow operating limits and guidelines may void the limited warranty.
- Preservative solution injection is recommended during system shutdowns to prevent biological growth.
- NSF/ANSI 61 certified drinking water modules require specific conditioning procedures prior to producing potable water and may be subject to additional regulatory restrictions.
