Description and use
Butaclean 4801 is a deposit control agent for synthetic rubber manufacturing plants. It incorporates Betz* HPS 1, a third-generation polymer for water-based systems.
Typical applications
Butaclean 4801 is designed to control deposition of calcium salts, silt, iron, and suspended solids. It is particularly effective in the final stripper of synthetic rubber manufacturing units (extrusion area).
Treatment
Proper treatment levels depend on specific system needs. The product should be fed according to control procedures established by SUEZ for each application.
Feeding
- Butaclean 4801 may be fed neat directly from the shipping container or diluted with good quality water.
- Feed continuously with a positive displacement chemical pump.
- Feed to a point where rapid mixing with bulk process water will occur.
- Recommended materials for tanks, pumps, piping, and valves include stainless steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, or PVC. Mild steel should not be used.
- DO NOT MIX with other water or process treatment chemicals unless compatibility has been checked and approved by SUEZ Product Management.
