Summary
Product identification
Hypersperse* MDC120 is a liquid antiscalant/antifoulant.
Description and use
Hypersperse MDC120 is a liquid antiscalant designed to control scale precipitates in membrane separation systems. It is certified for use in producing potable water (Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 60). It effectively controls scales including calcium carbonate, calcium sulphate, barium sulphate, and strontium sulphate. The product is compatible with leading R.O. membranes and helps maintain cleaner membrane surfaces by dispersing particulate foulants. It is effective in a broad feed water pH range.
Typical applications
Hypersperse MDC120 should be added before the static mixer or cartridge filter housing. Dilution, if required, should be with RO permeate or demineralised water.
Maximum Dilution
| Temperature (°C) | Maximum Dilution (%) |
|---|---|
| <30 | 10 |
| 30-35 | 25 |
| >35 | 50 |
Treatment and feeding requirements
- Typical dosage range: 3 to 6 mg/l.
- Example Calculation: For a feed flow of 100 m³/day and a dosage of 4.0 mg/l, with a specific gravity of 1.22, the required application rate is approximately 0.33 liters/day of Hypersperse MDC120.

Packaging information
Hypersperse MDC120 is available in various containers, including 23 kg pails, 245 kg plastic drums, and 1150 kg semi-bulk containers.
Storage and handling
Store to prevent freezing, as the product may separate. Product integrity can be restored by slowly warming and agitating.
Safety precautions
A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) with detailed information is available on request.
