Summary
Product Identification
Hypersperse* MDC200 is an antiscalant/antifoulant.
Description and Use
Hypersperse MDC200 is a liquid antiscalant developed to control inorganic scale formation (carbonates, sulphates, metallic oxides) and reduce particulate fouling in membrane separation systems. It is designed to extend membrane run times, improve membrane life, and reduce operating costs. It is suitable for reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane plants.
Key Features
- Certified for potable water production (NSF/ANSI Standard 60).
- Effectively controls scales including calcium carbonate (up to LSI +2.50), calcium sulphate, barium sulphate, and strontium sulphate.
- Compatible with leading R.O. membranes.
- Maintains cleaner membrane surfaces by dispersing particulate foulants.
- Effective in feedwater pH range of 5 - 9.
- Can be fed neat or diluted.
- Easy to handle liquid formulation.
- Compatible with feedwater containing aluminum and iron oxides.
Application
Hypersperse MDC200 is applied to prevent inorganic precipitation and deposition from high salinity feedwater, metallic compounds, and metallic oxides, thereby preventing increased differential pressures and membrane damage.
Treatment and Feeding Requirements
- Feedpoint: For maximum effectiveness, add prior to the static mixer or cartridge filter housing. Consult your local SUEZ representative for optimum feedpoint and dosage rate.
- Feedrate: Depends on specific plant operating conditions (feedwater salinity, temperature, conversion ratios, membrane selection). Dosed in proportion to feed flow. The Argo Analyzer software can assist in dose rate determination.
- Dilution: Can be fed neat or diluted with permeate or potable water to any convenient strength.
Packaging Information
Hypersperse MDC200 is available in various customized containers and delivery methods. Contact your local SUEZ representative for details.
