Summary
Product identification
- Product Name: Hypersperse MDC714
- Product Type: Antiscalant/Antifoulant
- Manufacturer: SUEZ (Water Technologies & Solutions)
Description and use
Hypersperse MDC714 is a liquid antiscalant/antifoulant designed to control scale precipitates and reduce particulate fouling in membrane separation systems (RO, NF, EDR). It is highly effective in seawater, brackish water, and water reuse applications. The product is effective against calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate scale. It can reduce operating costs by increasing membrane life and decreasing cleaning frequency.
Application
- Recommended feed point: Upstream of the static mixer or cartridge filter housing.
- Compatible with coagulants and SoliSep MPT series products.
- Certified for potable water production (NSF/ANSI Standard 60).
Dosing
- Typical Dosage Range: 0.5 to 3 mg/L.
- Maximum Dosage for Potable Applications: 10 mg/L.
- Dose Rate Determination: Recommended to use Argo Analyzer 4.0 simulation software for specific system and water chemistry. Contact local SUEZ representative for optimal feed point and dosage.
Dilution Guidelines
- On-site dilution is possible, but concentrations below 10% are generally not recommended.
- Use high-quality water for dilution (e.g., permeate or deionized water).
- Inspect diluted product tanks for microbiological growth; sanitize if observed and reduce batch size.
- Feeding neat is recommended for best results.
Maximum Dilutions (Temperature Related)
- <30°C (86°F): 10% Maximum Dilution
- 30-35°C (86-95°F): 25% Maximum Dilution
-
35°C (95°F): 50% Maximum Dilution
Packaging and storage information
- Available in various customized containers.
- Protect from freezing.
Safety Precautions
- Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) available upon request.
