Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: Hypersperse* MDC761
  • Product Type: Antiscalant/antifoulant

Description and Use

Hypersperse* MDC761 is a liquid antiscalant/antifoulant designed to control scale precipitates and reduce particulate fouling in membrane separation systems, including RO, NF, and EDR. It is highly effective in seawater, brackish water, and water reuse applications.

Key Features

  • Highly effective at low application costs.
  • Controls scale including calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate.
  • Effective as a replacement for acid dosing.
  • Increases membrane life and reduces cleaning frequency, thereby reducing operating costs.
  • Effective over a wide pH range.
  • Can be fed neat or diluted.
  • Coagulant compatible and can be used with SoliSep* MPT series products.

Application

For optimal performance, Hypersperse MDC761 should be added upstream of the static mixer or cartridge filter housing.

Dosing

  • Typical Dosage Range: 0.5 to 3 mg/L.
  • Dose Determination: The Argo Analyzer* 4.1 simulation software is recommended to determine the adequate dose rate based on specific water chemistry and system design.

Dilution Guidelines

  • On-site dilution is possible, but concentrations below 10% are generally not recommended.
  • Use high-quality water for dilution, such as permeate or deionized water.
  • Monitor diluted product feed for microbiological (MB) growth. Sanitize tanks and reduce batch size if growth is observed.
  • For best results, feeding neat product is recommended.

Maximum Dilutions (Temperature Dependent)

  • <30°C (86°F): 10% Maximum Dilution
  • 30-35°C (86-95°F): 25% Maximum Dilution
  • >35°C (95°F): 50% Maximum Dilution

Packaging and Storage

  • Hypersperse MDC761 is a liquid material available in various customized containers.
  • Protect from freezing.
