Summary
Product identification
- Product Name: Hypersperse* MDC772
- Product Type: antiscalant / antifoulant
Description and Use
Hypersperse MDC772 is a liquid antiscalant/antifoulant designed to control scale precipitates and reduce particulate fouling in membrane separation systems. It is effective in treating CaCO₃ at low dosages and has high operating limits for CaSO₄ scale. It can be used in reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, and electrodialysis reversal (EDR) processes.
Key Features
- Effectively controls scales including calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), calcium sulphate (CaSO₄), barium sulphate (BaSO₄), and strontium sulphate (SrSO₄).
- Provides excellent results as a replacement for acid dosing.
- Reduces operating costs by increasing membrane life and decreasing cleaning frequency.
- Maintains cleaner membrane surfaces by dispersing particulate foulants.
- Effective over a wide pH range.
- Can be fed neat or diluted.
- Compatible with coagulants and can be used with any SoliSep* MPT series product.
Applications
Hypersperse MDC772 should be added upstream of the static mixer or cartridge filter housing for maximum effectiveness.
Dosing
- Typical Dosage Range: 2 to 6 mg/L.
- Optimization: Use Argo Analyzer* 4.0 simulation software or consult with a SUEZ representative to determine the adequate dose rate based on specific water chemistry and system design.
Dilution Guidelines
- On-site dilution is possible, but concentrations below 10% are generally not recommended.
- Use high-quality water for dilution, such as permeate or deionized water.
- If microbiological (MB) growth is observed in the make-down tank, sanitize the tank and reduce the batch size.
- For best results, feed Hypersperse MDC772 neat.
Maximum Dilutions (Temperature Related)
- <30° C (86°F): 10% Maximum Dilution
- 30-35° C (86-95°F): 25% Maximum Dilution
- >35° C (95°F): 50% Maximum Dilution
Packaging and Storage
Hypersperse MDC772 is a liquid material available in various customized containers. Protect from freezing.
