Description and Use

Kleen AC9507 is an organic salt designed to function similarly to hydrochloric acid in various applications. Applications include cleaning evaporators, heat exchangers, reactor vessels, precoat filters, and fermentation tanks, particularly in the paper and food processing industries. The product is phosphate-free and contains no volatile organic substances, offering handling and storage benefits compared to traditional acids.

Treatment and Feeding Requirements

• Concentration: 5% to 20%
• Temperature: Cleaning solutions can be heated, but not to exceed 140°F (60°C).
• Venting: Necessary to minimize gas build-up in equipment.
• Feeding: Should be fed neat (undiluted) directly from the storage container using a chemical pump, bypass feeder, or inductor feeder.

Storage

• Containers: Store in fiberglass, polyethylene, or polypropylene containers. Avoid metal containers, especially aluminum.
• Temperature Limits: Do not store above 90°F (32.2°C) or below 40°F (4.4°C).
• Additional Notes: Storage in certain metal containers above 60°C (140°F) may lead to hydrogen gas evolution. Keep containers tightly closed.
