Description and use

Kleen AC9514 is a blend of sulphamic acid, corrosion inhibitors, wetting agent, and exhaustion indicators. It is designed for effective scale and deposit removal. The inhibitors protect mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and copper alloys from corrosion during cleaning.

Treatment and feeding requirements

• Normal Cleaning: Dissolve Kleen AC9514 in warm water (50° to 65°C / 122 to 149°F) to create a 5% solution in the system to be cleaned.
• Faster Cleaning / Heavily Scaled Equipment: Use up to a 10% solution.
• Circulation: Circulate the solution through the equipment.
• Temperature: Cleaning is faster when the solution is heated to 60° to 65°C (140 to 149°F).

Exhaustion Indicator

• Freshly Prepared: Reddish purple
• Approximately 80% Used: Orange
• Exhausted: Yellow

Cleaning Completion

Cleaning is complete when a reddish purple or orange solution shows no further color change after 15 minutes (hot) or 2 hours (cold).

Post-Cleaning Procedure

1. Drain the system and flush with water.
2. Circulate a 1 to 2 percent solution of Kleen NC9540 to neutralize residual acid.
3. Flush again with water.
