Description and Use
MemChem MCT210 is a low pH liquid formulation containing organic acid and solvent, designed for ultrafiltration/micro-filtration (MF/UF) systems. It dissolves inorganic scale, metal oxides (such as iron, manganese, aluminum), and other similar foulants from UF/MF membrane surfaces. It is a no-foaming, buffered product that maintains effective pH over a range of dilutions and shows enhanced performance at elevated temperatures. It can be used with other Kleen* MCT and MemChem MCT products and is NSF ANSI 60 approved for offline cleaning.
Treatment and Feeding Requirements
- Application: Should be applied using membrane cleaning equipment supplied by the membrane system manufacturer.
- Dilution: The product must be diluted with water containing less than 150 ppm Calcium hardness (ppm CaCO₃).
- Recommended Dilution: 0.2% to 3% by weight.
Materials Compatibility
Corrosion-resistant equipment, such as PVC, should be used for storage and preparation. Pumping materials in contact with the diluted product should also be corrosion-resistant.
