Summary
Product identification
SoliSep* MPT132 is a polymeric coagulant.
Description and use
SoliSep MPT132 is a strongly cationic, low molecular weight, liquid coagulant. It is designed for removal of colloidal material from surface waters and recycled process waters.
Key features
- NSF approved for potable water use (certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 60)
- Good all-around product
- Targets high NTU and color surface water
- Forms fast settling floc
- Effective over a wide pH range
- Efficient, economical and easy to feed
- Increases resistance to filter breakthrough
- Reduces backwash waste
- Compatible with and proven not to foul thin film composite membranes when used as directed
Application
- SoliSep MPT132 can be fed neat upstream of the multimedia filter.
- Can be diluted with good quality water (permeate or DI water) to any ratio less than 10% to meet chemical feed pump capacity requirements.
- Compatible with materials of construction including aluminum, polyethylene, and polypropylene.
- Note: Incompatible antiscalant/antifoulant and coagulants may congeal and cause severe membrane fouling. SoliSep MPT132 should only be used in combination with compatible Hypersperse* MDC products such as Hypersperse MDC150 and Hypersperse MDC220.
Dosing information
- Typical dosing range is between 1 and 6 ppm (mg/L).
- For high NTU waters, higher doses up to 20 ppm might be required.
- Bench testing is recommended to confirm dose levels.
- NSF approved for use in potable water applications at a feed rate up to 10 ppm (mg/L).
Storage and handling
- Store at moderate temperatures of 40 to 90 °F (4 to 32 °C) and protect from freezing.
- If frozen, thaw and mix thoroughly prior to use.
- Should be used within six months for maximum coagulation activity, although generally stable for up to one year.
Packaging information
SoliSep MPT132 is available in a wide variety of customized containers and delivery methods.
