Design and Function

The Blu-Sentinel™ SE controller measures pool water free chlorine concentration, temperature, ORP, conductivity, and pH. It features a color touch-screen display and a color-based status indicator in the flow cell (white = good, yellow = check parameters, red = fault). The controller provides chemical feed outputs for free chlorine or ORP, as well as for pH and conductivity setpoints.

The system includes a pressurized flow cell for up to four sensors and electronics. It features an integral "Multi-Sensor" for sample water flow and temperature measurement, with a large water ground for electrical noise protection. A flow control valve ensures constant sample water flow, and quartz grit provides hydro-mechanical cleaning for the free chlorine sensor. An LED light stick in the flow cell indicates pool water chemistry status.

Standard features include various controller outputs, alarm contacts, four optional analog 0/4–20 mA outputs, and five digital inputs. Six freely assignable relay contacts can be configured as chemical feed or alarm outputs. Built-in safety functions include:

  • Alarm and chemical feed interruption triggered by the sample water flow switch.
  • Alarm and chemical feed interruption in case of circulation pump failure.
  • Shutdown in case of supply-tank-empty alarm.
  • Dosing time monitoring and delay.

Plug-in sensors, pre-wired cables, and modular mounting facilitate fast installation, start-up, and maintenance.
