Construction and Function

The MFC-DEPOLOX® 5 consists of the MFC electronic module and the DEPOLOX 5 measuring cell module.

MFC Electronic Module

  • Display: Graphic LCD with backlight, 240 x 64 pixels resolution.
  • Measurement Inputs:
    • 1 x DEPOLOX 5
    • Three free slots for additional modules, galvanically isolated up to 50 V.
    • 1 x dosing display (positioner copy).
  • Digital Inputs:
    • 1 x for sample water flow monitoring.
    • 1 x external stop.
    • 1 x freely selectable (e.g., regulator stop, mode change, external setpoint).

DEPOLOX 5 Measuring Cell Module

  • Available in non-pressurized or pressure-resistant versions.
  • Can accommodate up to four probes simultaneously.
  • Probes can measure: free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, potassium permanganate, conductivity, redox potential, pH, and fluoride. Membrane probes are available for free chlorine, total/combined chlorine, chlorine dioxide, and ozone. External probes with mA signals are supported.
  • Flow Control Valve: Regulates the flow of analyzed water to 33 l/h.
  • Regulation Range: 0.2 – 4.0 bar at pipe inlet; back pressure: max. 1.5 bar on pressure-resistant version.

  • "Multi-Sensor":
    • Sample water flow monitoring: switching point 21 l/h +/- 3 l/h; switching hysteresis: 2 l/h.
    • Water temperature measurement with a Pt 1000 probe for temperature compensation of chlorine and pH measurements.
    • Large-area grounding of sample water via stainless steel ring (equipotential bonding).
