The DEOX/2000® is a dechlorination measurement module for on-line analysis of sulfite and total chlorine residuals. It is designed for use with either the SFC or MFC electronic packages.

- Unaffected by varying water quality, turbidity, temperature, or conductivity
- Stable chloramine-T reagent for iodine bias generation
Optional Features
- Choice of peristaltic pump speed (1 rpm for monitoring, 2 rpm for control)
- Sample line dosing with a biocide metering pump to prevent biofouling
- Circular chart recorders with "zero-centered" chart ranges
Technical Data
Type of Measurement
Amperometric. Continuously measures and indicates Sulfite or Chlorine residuals.
Accuracy
+/- 5% of full scale (over the range from SO₂ to Cl₂ residual).
Sensitivity
2% of full scale.
Repeatability
0.001 mg/L or 1% of full scale, whichever is greater.
Stability
+/- 5% of full-scale for 1 month under favorable conditions. Recalibration may be required upon replenishment of the Iodate reagent.
Speed of Response
- 90 seconds with 2 rpm pump motor.
- 180 seconds with 1 rpm pump motor.
Output Signal
Isolated 4-20mA DC analog output proportional to residual, zero centered. Maximum impedance 600 ohms.
Sample Requirements
- Approximately 10 to 20 l/m (2 - 5 US gpm).
- Recommended fluid velocity: 1.5 m/sec (5 ft/sec).
- Maximum pressure: 8 bar (125 psi), throttled to less than 0.3 bar (5 psi) at the Y-strainer inlet.
- Measuring cell sample requirement: 0.5 l/m.
Reagents
- pH 4 buffer solution.
- Potassium Iodate solution.
- Detergent (added to pH 4 buffer).
Salinity
Fresh to sea water.

- Sample line: 13 mm (1/2”) female NPT.
- Drain hose: 1 mm (3/8”) and 32 mm (1-1/4”).
