Summary

Product identification

The Ebara MMD 4 Poles series consists of centrifugal pumps designed for 50 Hz operation.

Operating limits

  • Liquid Handled: Clean water
  • Temperature: Min. -10 °C, max +90 °C
  • Maximum working pressure: 1.0 MPa
  • Mechanical seal max temperature: +90 °C
  • Operating range: Pumps should not be used at a flow rate below 10% of the best efficiency point to avoid the risk of overheating.

    • Stationary sealing: SiC
  • Test Standard: ISO 9906 – Annex A
  • Performance Curve Specifications:
    • Curves refer to effective speed of asynchronous motors at 50 Hz.
    • Measurements were carried out with clean water at 20 °C and a kinematic viscosity of ν = 1 mm²/s (1 cSt).
    • The NPSH curve is an average curve obtained in the same conditions of performance curves.
    • The continuous curves indicate the recommended working range; the dotted curve is a guide.
  • Minimum Efficiency Index (MEI): A measure of pump quality based on hydraulic efficiency and head at the best efficiency point. MEI is based on the full impeller diameter. All listed models have MEI > 0.40.
  • Variable Duty Points: Operation with variable duty points may be more efficient and economic when controlled, for example, by a variable speed drive.

Detailed performance curves (Capacity vs. Total manometric head) for various models are available, showing specific flow rates in l/min and m³/h against head in meters. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Detailed dimensions (mm) and weights (kg) for various pump models are available. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Detailed motor data, including input power, efficiency at 50%, 75%, and 100% load, power factor (cos-φ), and full load and locked rotor currents for 230 V, 400 V, and 690 V, are available for each pump model. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Noise Data

Noise levels (LpA - dB(A)) are provided for each pump model, measured as a mean value at 1m distance around the pump. Tolerance is ± 2.5 dB. Reported values range from <70 dB(A) to 81 dB(A) depending on the model. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
