The KSB Amaline is a submersible motor pump designed for horizontal, wet installation. It features an axial propeller, available in self-cleaning ECB propeller variants.

The pump series includes models Amaline 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 800, with nominal diameters (DN) corresponding to their series number (e.g., Amaline 200 has DN 200).

Design Details:

  • Design: Fully floodable submersible motor pump, horizontal installation, wet installation.
  • Axial Propeller: Self-cleaning ECB propeller.
  • Shaft Seal: Two bi-directional mechanical seals in tandem arrangement with a liquid reservoir. Amaline 500, 600, 800 models include an additional leakage chamber between the seat ring holder and the gear unit.

    • Amaline 200, 300, 400: Grease-packed rolling element bearings sealed for life.
    • Amaline 500, 600, 800: Grease-packed rolling element bearings sealed for life in the motor, and oil-lubricated rolling element bearings in the gear unit.
  • Drive: Three-phase asynchronous squirrel-cage motor.
    • Amaline 200, 300, 400: Direct drive.
    • Amaline 500, 600, 800: Spur gear drive.

Operating Limits

  • Fluid Temperature: < 40 °C for all models.
  • Immersion Depth: Up to 12 m (larger immersion depths available on request).
  • Permissible Ambient Temperature: 40 °C.
  • pH for Grey Cast Iron: ≥ 6.5.
  • Sand Content for Grey Cast Iron: ≤ 0.5 g/l.
  • pH for Duplex Stainless Steel: 1 - 12.

Feed Water

Main Applications:

  • Recirculating activated sludge from the nitrification to the denitrification stage of activated sludge tanks.
  • Economic handling of stormwater, river water, surface water, and polder water at low heads.
  • Generating flow in water bodies.

Electrical

  • Voltage: 400 V 50 Hz (standard), suitable for operation on a frequency inverter. Optional 500 V, 690 V available on request.
  • Starting Method:
    • Amaline 200, 300, 400: DOL (Direct On Line), or DOL/star-delta for certain 300 models (8 6, 12 6, 20 6 motor sizes).
    • Amaline 500, 600, 800: DOL or star-delta.
  • Cooling: By surrounding fluid handled.
  • Power Cable Length: 10 m (standard). Optional 15 m, 20 m (> 20 m on request).
  • Cable Entry: Absolutely watertight.
  • Monitoring Equipment:
    • Winding Temperature: PTC thermistor.
    • Leakage: Leakage sensor in the motor space.

    • TEHSITE Tefzel cable (Optional): Rated voltage 750 V, Max. continuous insulation temperature 135 °C.
