Product Benefits
- Maintenance-free mechanical seal for operating reliability.
- Easy dismantling via back pull-out design, eliminating the need to remove the pump casing from piping.
- Optimised hydraulic components for high efficiency and reduced energy consumption.
- Corrosion-resistant wetted parts made of stainless steel (1.4571).
- Easy to service and durable due to replaceable casing wear rings.
- Long service life from high-quality, standardised mechanical seals to EN 12756.
Noise Characteristics
Surface sound pressure levels (LpA) vary based on rated power input and rotational speed (1450 rpm, 2900 rpm). An increase of +3 dB is noted for 60 Hz operation at 3500 rpm, and +1 dB at 1750 rpm. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
Coating and Preservation
- Coating and preservation are applied according to KSB standard AN 1897/54-09.
- The pump casing is supplied without coating.
- Drive lantern and intermediate piece receive a primer coat (hydro-dip primer, 40-50 µm dry film thickness).
- A quick-drying, water-thinned acrylate alkyd combination top coat (60 µm dry film thickness, suitable for temperatures up to 140 °C) is applied.
Ecodesign Information
- Minimum efficiency index (MEI) and year of construction are specified in the data sheet. The benchmark for most efficient water pumps is MEI ≥ 0.70.
- The efficiency of a pump with a trimmed impeller is typically lower than with a full impeller diameter.
- Operation with variable duty points can be made more efficient and economic using a variable speed drive.
- Information for disassembly, recycling, or disposal at end of life is provided in the installation/operating manual.
- Benchmark efficiency graphs for MEI = 0.70 (0.40) are available at http://www.europump.org/efficiencycharts.
