Movitec
PDF datasheet mirror for Movitec (KSB Pumps). Verify with OEM before design.
Summary
Product identification
The Movitec H(S)I is a multistage horizontal high-pressure centrifugal pump.
Operating limits
- Flow rate Q: ≤ 27 m³/h
- Head H: ≤ 195 m
- Fluid temperature T: ≥ -20 °C to ≤ +140 °C
- Operating pressure p: ≤ 25 bar
- Maximum pressure class: PN 25
Feed water
The pump is designed to handle:
- Hot water
- Clear water
- Condensate
- Cooling water
- Fire-fighting water
- Oil
- Cleaning agents
- And others
Specific considerations for fluids:
- Mechanical seal silicon carbide / carbon (Q1B) is not suitable for fluids containing solid substances, including particles from salt crystallisation at low fluid temperatures.
- Mechanical seal tungsten carbide / tungsten carbide (U3U3) is limited to a maximum solids content of 20 ppm (depending on particle size), with the exception of corrosive fluids.
- High temperatures increase corrosion.
- Chloride contents exceeding 300 mg/l may cause localised corrosion under unfavorable conditions (high temperatures, deposits, long idle periods).
- For detailed compatibility with various substances, maximum percentages, and temperatures, See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
Product water
Characteristic curves are based on the following fluid properties:
- Deaerated water
- Fluid temperature: +20 °C
- Density: 1.0 kg/dm³
- Kinematic viscosity: 1 mm²/s
Electrical
- Drive: Surface-cooled KSB squirrel-cage motor
- Thermal class: F to IEC 34-1
- Efficiency class: IE3 to IEC 60034-30 (for three-phase motors ≥ 0.75 kW)
- Enclosure: IP55
- Frequency: 50 Hz/60 Hz
- Optional: Harting connector, type HAN 10E
- Automation options: PumpDrive, PumpMeter
For detailed technical motor data, including power (PN), voltage (VN), current (IA), efficiency (η), and noise level (Lp) for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation, See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
Mechanical / hydraulic
- Design: High-pressure, centrifugal, single-stage or multistage pump.
- Installation: Horizontal.
- Bearings: Tungsten carbide plain bearings at the hydraulic rotor.
- Shaft seal: Uncooled, maintenance-free mechanical seals are available in Fixed, Easy Access, and Cartridge designs.
- For a comprehensive table of available mechanical seals, including material codes, temperature ranges, and pressure ratings, See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
- Materials: Components are made from various stainless steel and cast iron grades, including 1.4301, 1.4404, 1.4408, 1.4057, 1.4460, 1.4571, EN-GJL-250, EN-GJS-400-15. O-rings are EPDM-WRc / ACS or FPM. Bearing sleeves are Tungsten carbide / aluminium oxide.
- Coating: Drive lantern has cataphoretic coating; pump foot has powder coating.
- NPSH: An impeller for lower NPSH values is available for sizes 2, 4, 6, 10, and 15 to prevent cavitation in critical inlet conditions. NPSH values in characteristic curves are minimums at the cavitation limit; a safety margin of at least 0.5 m must be added.
- Power input: Indicated per stage (St = 1). Total pump input power is calculated by multiplying the per-stage value by the number of stages.
- Flow rate: Minimum and maximum flow rates (Q) at a fluid temperature ≤ +20 °C vary by pump size and speed (2900 rpm, 1450 rpm for 50 Hz; 3500 rpm, 1750 rpm for 60 Hz). For specific minimum and maximum flow rates, See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
Certifications
- Approved in accordance with the UK drinking water regulation.
Acceptance tests and warranty
- Pressure test: To EN 809.
- Leak test: With water.
- Materials testing: Certificate of compliance with the order (to EN 10204) is provided; Test report 2.2 and Inspection certificate 3.1 (to EN 10204) are available on request.
- Hydraulic test: Duty point guaranteed to ISO 9906:2012 Grade 3B, always carried out with the original motor. NPSH and suction lift are not measured (3.2 certificate available).
- Warranties: Provided within the scope of valid terms and conditions of sale and delivery.
