  • 1.4317, 1.4517, 1.4469 See the official PDF for exact tabulated values and curves.

Noise characteristics: Surface sound pressure levels (LpA) are provided for the pump alone and the pump with an electric motor at 1450 rpm and 2900 rpm across a range of rated power inputs (2.2 kW to 710 kW).

  • Measurements are taken at 1 m from the pump outline (as per DIN 45 635 Parts 1 and 24).
  • For 60 Hz operation, add +3 dB for 3500 rpm and +1 dB for 1750 rpm. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Electrical

  • Drive: 50 Hz and 60 Hz electric motors, diesel engines, or turbines.
  • Motor types of construction: IMB3, IMV1, IMB35.
  • Enclosure: IP 55/IP 23
  • Thermal class: F
  • Direction of rotation:
    • Installation types A, B, C, E, F, V: Clockwise (seen from the drive end)
    • Installation type D: Counter-clockwise (seen from the drive end)
  • Options: Special voltages, explosion protection, insulated bearing, standstill heater.

Mechanical / hydraulic

Design details:

  • Multistage centrifugal pump in ring-section design.
  • Horizontal installation in long-coupled or close-coupled design.
  • Vertical installation in close-coupled design or with cardan shaft.
  • Pump casing: Axial or radial suction casing. Radial suction and discharge casings have nozzles that can be turned in steps of 90°. Flanges conform to EN and ASME standards.
  • Impeller type: Closed radial impeller with multiply curved vanes.
  • Bearings:
    • Fixed bearing (drive end): Rolling element bearing.
    • Radial bearing (non-drive end): Plain bearing or rolling element bearing, depending on installation type.
    • Lubrication: Rolling element bearings are grease or oil lubricated; plain bearings are lubricated by the fluid handled.
    • Self-aligning.
  • Coupling:
    • Long-coupled designs: Flexible coupling (with or without spacer).
    • Close-coupled designs: Rigid coupling (up to DN 65), flexible coupling without spacer (larger designs).
  • Coupling guard: Standard cylindrical, optional tread-proof.
  • Shaft seal:
    • Uncooled gland packing (with or without barrier fluid).
    • Standardized mechanical seal to EN 12756 (cooled or uncooled, single or double).
    • Cartridge seal.
  • Axial thrust balancing: Primarily by a balance drum; for small numbers of stages, axial thrust is absorbed by the thrust bearing.

Materials:

  • Casing: Grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, super duplex stainless steel.
  • Hydraulic system: Grey cast iron, bronze, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, super duplex stainless steel. Detailed material codes for specific components (e.g., suction casing, impeller, shaft, plain bearings, shaft sleeves) are provided in the official PDF for various material variants.
