Summary

Product identification

The NADIR® NP030 is a polyethersulfone (PES) membrane exhibiting nanofiltration characteristics when exposed to high pressure. Its stabilized molecular weight cut-off is in the range of 500-600 Daltons after operation at 40 bar (580 psi). The NP030 membrane is durable enough for use in concentrated acid environments and caustic recovery systems. The membrane sheet is available in dry flat sheet rolls and is FDA compliant.

Operating limits

  • pH Range: 0.0 - 14.0

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Membrane Chemistry: Polyethersulfone (PES)
  • Backing Material: Polypropylene
  • Na₂SO₄ Rejection Bounds: 77 - 95% (Test conditions: 5,000 ppm Na₂SO₄, 40 bar (580 psi), 20°C (68°F))
  • Permeability: ≥ 1 LMH/bar (≥ 0.04 GFD/psi) (Test conditions: Clean water, 40 bar (580 psi), 20°C (68°F))
  • Thickness: 210 - 250 µm

Standard Sizes:

  • A4 sample size: 210 mm x 297 mm (8.27 in x 11.69 in)
  • Nominal roll size: 150 m x 1016 mm (492 ft x 40.0 in) Custom lengths may be available on request.

Installation and storage

  • Initial Flush: Flush membrane for 30 minutes and discard permeate during the flush prior to operation.
  • Storage: Membrane shipped dry should be stored away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Refer to Membrane Storage Guide Flat Sheet Membrane (TSG-O-011) for full details.
