Summary

Product identification

The NADIR® UV150 T is an ultrafiltration membrane, specifically a 150,000 Dalton molecular weight cut off (M.W.C.O.) polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane. It is available in dry flat sheet rolls and is FDA compliant.

Primary Application:

  • E-coat applications to reduce wastewater
  • Allow for paint recovery
  • Reduce chemical and discharge costs

Membrane characteristics

  • Membrane Chemistry: Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
  • Backing Material: Non-Woven Polyester
  • Nominal M.W.C.O.: 150,000 Da
  • Permeability: ≥ 285 LMH/bar (≥ 11.6 GFD/psi)
    • Test conditions for permeability: Clean water, 2 bar (29 psi), 20°C (68°F), crossflow operation.
  • Thickness: 210 – 250 µm

Operating limits

  • pH Range: 1.0 – 12.0
  • Maximum Cleaning Concentrations:
    • Butyl glycol: 20%
    • Acetic/Lactic acid: 10%

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Standard Sizes:
    • A4 sample size: 210 mm x 297 mm (8.27 in x 11.69 in)
    • Nominal roll size: 150 m x 1016 mm (492 ft x 40.0 in)
  • Custom lengths may be available on request.

Important information

  • Initial Flush: Flushing membrane for 30 minutes and discarding permeate during the flush prior to operation is recommended.
  • Storage: Membrane shipped dry should be stored away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Refer to the Membrane Storage Guide – Flat Sheet Membrane (TSG-O-011) for more details.
