Summary

Product Identification

The TRISEP® SBNF is a cellulose acetate / triacetate nanofiltration (NF) membrane. It is designed for excellent color removal and TOC reduction in streams high in natural organic matter (NOM) at very low operating pressures. SBNF membrane sheet is available in wet flat sheet rolls.

  • Membrane Chemistry: Cellulose Acetate (CA)
  • Backing Material: Non-Woven Polyester
  • Nominal M.W.C.O.: 2,000 Da

Operating Limits

  • Test Conditions (for flux range): 2,000 ppm NaCl, 4.8 bar (70 psi), 25°C (77°F), 15% recovery, pH 5.5, 30 minutes operation
  • Nominal Operating pH Range: 5.5
  • Cleaning pH Range: 2.0 – 7.5
  • Chlorine Tolerance: 0.5 ppm nominal, 1 ppm max

Performance Characteristics

  • Flux Range: 57.8 – 85.0 LMH (34.0 – 50.0 GFD)
  • Thickness: 145 – 185 μm

Mechanical / Hydraulic

TRISEP flat sheet membrane is available in:

  • Sample Size: 305 mm x 1,016 mm (12 in x 40 in)
  • Nominal Roll Size: 305 m x 1,016 mm (1,000 ft x 40 in)
  • Custom lengths may be available on request.

Installation and Storage

  • Initial Flush: MICRODYN-NADIR recommends flushing membrane for 30 minutes and discarding permeate during the flush prior to operation.
  • Storage: Wet TRISEP membrane must remain sealed and refrigerated prior to use. Refer to "Membrane Storage Guide – Flat Sheet Membrane (TSG-O-011)" for detailed instructions.
