Summary
Product Identification
The TRISEP® UPR series consists of Ultra-High Pressure Industrial Membrane Elements, dated 07/01/2021. These elements are designed for applications requiring high operating pressure and are suitable for a wide variety of industrial and wastewater purification uses, including challenging applications like leachate, minimum-liquid discharge, and high salt concentrations. The membrane elements are spiral-wound and offer strong and durable designs.
Membrane Characteristics
The elements feature various membrane types with specific stabilized solute rejection rates:
- RO: Polyamide RO membrane, 99.5% rejection of NaCl
- TS80: Polyamide NF membrane, 99.2% rejection of MgSO₄
- TS40: Polypiperazine NF membrane, 99.0% rejection of MgSO₄
- XN45: Polypiperazine NF membrane, 96.0% rejection of MgSO₄
- UA60: Polypiperazine NF membrane, 80.0% rejection of MgSO₄
Design Information
All models listed feature a fiberglass outer wrap and diamond-shaped feed spacers. They include anti-telescoping devices (ATDs) attached to the ends of the element, one brine seal, and one interconnector.

Operating Limits
- Maximum Operating Pressure: 120 bar (1,740 psi)
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 45°C (113°F)
- Cleaning pH Range: 1.0 – 12.0
- Chlorine Tolerance: < 0.1 ppm
- Maximum Pressure Drop:
- 1.4 bar (20 psi) per element
- 6 bar (80 psi) per housing
Pretreatment is recommended for the removal of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents to prevent damage to membranes.
