Summary
Product identification
TurboClean® High Purity RO Elements are designed for applications requiring ultrapure water, such as dialysis, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor rinse water. These elements feature a unique, sanitary, patented hard-shell construction that reduces bypass flow by approximately 60% compared to net-wrapped elements.
- Membrane Type: Polyamide, ACM2
- Key Features:
- Strongest Sanitary Element
- Energy Savings
- Most Effective Cleaning and Sanitizing
- Less Scaling
- Lower Effective Recovery
- Ease of Installation
- Regulatory: All models use FDA (CFR Title 21) compliant materials.
Operating limits
- Maximum Operating Pressure: 41 bar (600 psi)
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 50°C (122°F)
- Cleaning pH Range: 1.0 – 12.0
- Chlorine Tolerance: < 0.1 ppm
- Maximum Pressure Drop: 1.4 bar (20 psi) per element; 6 bar (80 psi) per housing
- Maximum SDI₁₅: 5.0
- Maximum Turbidity: 1 NTU
Product water
- Stabilized Salt Rejection: 99.5%
- Minimum Salt Rejection: 99.0%
Permeate flow rates are tested under conditions of 2,000 ppm NaCl, 15.5 bar (225 psi), 25°C (77°F), 15% recovery, pH 8.0, and 30 minutes operation. Flow rates will be no more than 15% below the stated values.
Mechanical / hydraulic
All models feature a TurboClean sanitary outer wrap, diamond-shaped feed spacers, and anti-telescoping devices (ATDs) attached to the ends of the element and one interconnector. A brine seal is not included or required.

- For Female elements, Dim. C is the Inner Diameter. For Male elements, Dim. C is the Outer Diameter.
- Male elements have a protruding permeate tube. Dimension "D" (not listed in table but mentioned) is 25.4 mm (1.0 in).
Start-up, Cleaning, and Storage
- Start-up: Flush elements for 30 minutes at low pressure, discarding permeate during the flush.
- Cleaning: Periodic cleaning is required to ensure proper operation and prevent membrane damage. Refer to the Membrane Cleaning Guide (TSG-C-001).
- Storage: Elements must be stored appropriately to ensure proper operation and prevent damage. Refer to Element Storage Guides (TSG-O-009 & TSG-O-010).
