- Bases: ++ (Excellent)
- Aliphatic alcohols: + (Good)
- Aliphatic hydrocarbons: + (Good)
- Halogenated hydrocarbons: -- (Poor)
- Aromatic hydrocarbons: -- (Poor)
- Polar organic solvents: -- (Poor)
- Oils: ++ (Excellent)
- Cleaning Chemical Resistance:

- Nitric Acid: ++
- Sulphuric Acid: ++
- Phosphoric Acid: ++
- Acetic Acid: ++
- Citric Acid: ++
- Bases:
- Sodium Hydroxide (<4%): ++
- Potassium Hydroxide (<4%): ++
- Acids:
- Oxidant Contact Limits: (Represent resistance to each individual oxidizing agent)
- Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl):
- Typical: 200 ppm, at ≤ 40 °C, at ≥ pH 10
- Maximum: 500 ppm
- Cumulative: 250,000 ppm hours; at ≥ pH 10
- Chlorine Dioxide (ClO₂):
- Typical: 1 ppm, at ≤ 40 °C
- Maximum: 2 ppm
- Cumulative: 90,000 ppm hours
- Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂):
- Typical: 200 ppm, at ≤ 40 °C
- Maximum: 500 ppm
- Cumulative: 350,000 ppm hours
- Combined Exposure (NaOCl + ClO₂):
- Calculated as: 2.6 x Exposure to ClO₂ (in ppm hours) + Exposure to NaOCl (in ppm hours) < 250,000 ppm hours.
- General Note: Reduce membrane exposure to oxidizing agents to a minimum. Exposure limits are affected by temperature, pH, and presence of metals. Preserve membranes free of oxidizing agents during plant stops.
- Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl):
Storage
- New Modules: Stored in original packaging, containing an aqueous preservation solution of glycerine (20wt%) and sodium metabisulfite (1wt%).
- Storage Environment: Dry, normally ventilated place, away from heat sources, ignition, and direct sunlight.
- Storage Temperature: Between 0 and 40 °C. Do not subject to freezing temperatures.
- Wet Storage (after use): Membranes must be stored wet at all times.
- Short-term shutdowns (1-7 days): Daily backwash with UF permeate quality water for 30 seconds at 240 lmh, after a standard Chemical Enhanced Backwash (CEB) before shutdown.
- Long-term storage (>7 days): Disinfect membranes with a compatible biocide (e.g., 0.5% sodium metabisulfite solution) after a CEB. Modules should remain filled with storage solution.
- Shelf Life: Maximum 6 months for unused modules in unopened packaging under correct storage conditions.
